Driving through Europe is a delight for many reasons.
But it’s not without its trials, what with the disparity between the rules in various countries.
In France for example, it’s a legal requirement to carry a breathalyser with you in your car.
And in the Republic of Ireland, honking your horn between the hours of 11.30pm and 7am is banned.
National speed limits vary too. For example in Italy the speed limit on motorways in 80mph on a dry day, but it’s 68mph in wet weather.
