Is there a correct answer to a question like this?
Kansas’ Frank Mason III, reigning Wooden Award winner, attended at the NBA combine in on Thursday and was asked a very morbid, non-basketball question by one team.
How do you want to die?
To his credit, Mason told ESPN his answer, which is probably a common one.
“I said in my sleep because I wouldn’t want to suffer from any pain,” he said.
Usually, college players who are getting interviewed by teams before the draft are expected to answer more normal questions, like how their game will translate at the next level.
Mason wasn’t the only one thrown a curveball, though.
Creighton’s Eddie Sefko was reportedly asked by a team “When you come to a yellow light, do you speed up or slow down?”
His response was “It depends where I’m going.”
The real question that needs to be answered is what teams do this to their potential draft picks.
