Angry New Yorkers demand Gov. Cuomo fix MTA

Stand clear of the irate riders, please.

Fed up passengers and transit advocates gathered outside of Gov. Cuomo’s city office at rush hour on Thursday to call for better subway and bus service.

“Subway delays are getting worse and worse and Gov. Cuomo, who runs the MTA, is missing in action,” said Riders Alliance executive director John Raskin.

Cuomo spokeswoman Dani Lever said the governor has made an unprecedented investment in the MTA. “We agree with riders that delays are unacceptable and we share in their outrage…” Lever said. “Advocates advocate, and we’ll leave the performance art to them. We’re focused on real solutions.”
